Why the board needs filters

The companion plots a large landmark set. Without filters, Ocean Beach alone can bury downtown, and the Keys sit far from Port Gellhorn. Filters and district isolate are the readable path — not a smaller fake map.

Turn on the districts you care about. When a district is active, the region meter shows found versus total for that zone. Isolate this zone hides the rest while you finish a neighborhood.

Filters before closest-path

Closest-path builds a short route across remaining visible pins. If everything is visible, the route tries to be honest about a huge set and becomes noisy. Filter first, then plot.

Mark as found removes pins from that remaining count. Progress is local to your device. Spoiler-masked island cards are a separate control — filters do not auto-reveal them.

Pair filters with guides

District guides tell you density before you open the board. Search-intent pages for Vice Beach, Hamlet, Key Lento, and others name a few real places so you know what filter you are aiming at.

Creators: tell viewers which filter to leave on before you zoom. That is kinder than a surprise full-pin dump mid-video.
